In 2025, the sector contributed approximately 6% to Jordan’s GDP and accounted for 28% of total manufacturing output. The industry comprises around 2.6 thousand establishments, employing more than 66.5 thousand people, with an annual production value of approximately USD 6.4 billion.
The sector is home to several leading Jordanian food brands that have built a strong presence across regional and international markets, supported by the reputation of Jordanian food products for quality, safety, and compliance with international standards.
With a well-developed production base that meets more than 62% of domestic market demand on average, the sector has also developed a strong export footprint, reaching 114 countries worldwide. Food exports have grown by 102% over the past five years, reflecting the sector’s competitiveness and its ability to expand into new markets.
